My husband will be turning the big 6-0 this July and I have started making his invites. I have lots of time while I am home right now to do some catch up!
The theme is "Tool Time"! I will share some of the cute decorations as it gets closer, but here is the invite I came up with!
I just love the smiley face on the hammer! :)

And This Is Why.......
This is part of the problem I have not been posting like I should....
every time I try and get some work done, Murphy has a different idea!! I don't know if he just wants to be close to me or likes the warmth of the keys against his face!! LOL

Contemplating
Sea glass art!
Hi Fellow Crafters,
I spent a lot of time in my 'craft heaven' this weekend, but I wasn't crafting the WHOLE time - I WISH!
I spent some time reorganizing and planning out my future classes and designing with YOU in mind.
With everything that's happening in the world right now, are you finding it difficult to make time for creating and crafting? Does it feel like a bit of a luxury or perhaps not the hugest priority right now? I get it. If you're working your own job, trying to manage distance learning, starting or finishing projects around the house, helping out family members that need help with groceries, etc...it's a busy and possibly stressful time. And it's for this exact reason - especially now - that we all need to find what brings us comfort and provides an outlet to recharge mentally and emotionally. Maybe it's yoga, knitting, painting, listening to music, going for a walk...so many options. One of my favourite calming activities is crafting, no surprise there I'm sure.
Crafting is like the gift that keeps on giving. It's obviously super fun to do. But also, when we craft with the purpose of bringing joy to others, it helps us to feel joy ourselves. Sending a card to a family member or friend or dropping one off on a neighbour's porch, can bring some sunshine to someone who may really need it. Birthdays, anniversaries and thank- yous are not cancelled. People having a hard day or experiencing loss - well, that's still happening too. And while we can't hug those that are not living with us, we can send the sentiment of a hug in a card or handmade gift and that's still a beautiful thing and it makes us feel good too!!
As I sat down to plan out my events in the up and coming months, I tried to think about what might be of value to you and inspire you to keep (or start) crafting! And in doing so, I've come up with some offerings which will offer you different choices than just card making (although that is one of my faves!) Please stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks! And thank you for your patience and positive thoughts these last couple of months!
Hugs, Linda
